What this site is

SolSpread is a set of static editorial pages. There are no user accounts, no login, no comment system, no newsletter signup and no contact form. Nothing on this site asks you to type anything, which removes most of the ways a website ordinarily collects personal data.

Server logs

Like any web server, the host that serves these pages records requests. A log line typically contains an IP address, a timestamp, the requested path, the response status, the referring page and the browser user-agent string. These records exist for operational reasons: diagnosing errors, detecting abusive traffic and confirming that pages are being served correctly. They are not used to build profiles of individual readers.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no preference cookie, no session identifier. If your browser reports storage associated with this domain, it will have come from an extension or from the browser itself rather than from these pages.

Third-party resources

Three external resources load with each page, and each one means your browser makes a request to a server this desk does not operate. Those operators can see the request, including your IP address and user-agent, in the same way any server sees any request.

• Bootstrap CSS and JavaScript and Bootstrap Icons, delivered from the jsDelivr content delivery network.
• Web fonts, delivered from Google Fonts.

These are used for presentation only. They do not receive any information about you beyond what is inherent in fetching a file, and this site passes no identifiers to them. If you block third-party resources, the pages remain readable, though the typography and some layout details will fall back to your system defaults.

Links to other sites

Articles link to protocol documentation, public repositories and, in a small number of places, to third-party execution software. Once you follow such a link you are on somebody else's site, under their privacy practices, which this desk neither controls nor audits. The commercial nature of some of those links is described in the editorial policy.

Email

If you write to the desk, your message and your email address exist in an inbox for as long as they are useful, which is normally until the matter is resolved and any correction is published. Addresses are not added to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list, and they are not shared with anyone.

Children

This is technical material about trade execution, aimed at adults. It is not directed at children and it collects nothing from anyone.

Changes

If the technical arrangement of the site changes in a way that affects this page, for example if an analytics tool were ever added, this page is updated before the change goes live rather than afterwards. Questions about anything here can go to the address on the contact page.
